I swore I would never create a blog and here it is...

who knows if anyone will read it, but i love the idea of creating something so i can look back and remember where i've been and what i've been doing.
this is basically so i can keep track of my travels. so...

POST ONE IT IS :]

spent this weekend on the saco river and old orchard beach.
the saco river is beautiful, but full of bros and people who want to ask you for shrooms so watch out if you dont want loud crazy people around you in a picturesque place. it was fun and you can camp for free. we camped by cool hippies who made a hot tub out of this floaty and using their fire. they were cool.

we ended up stranded in portland, me with no where to stay and slept in the car in a parking lot. it wasn't as uncomfortable as it sounds. i actually slept really well and it was only $5 for parking.
portland is a really cool little city. go if you have the chance. it really is awesome. lots of cool little shops and stuff. and my friend landis and i found this really cool street musician guy from New Orleans (where i'm hopefully headed with my cousins this next fall!)
eat at the Porthole. good food, reasonably priced, and they gave us free drinks because we waited so long :]

old orchard beach is pretty sweet. its kinda like Virginia Beach (so i've heard, i've never been). the peir is fun and waves are amazing! just watch out when the tide comes in they get wicked strong... sand in your face and hair is not so fun. we rode the roller coaster there which was like 4.50 to ride and it was alot of fun. ive always wanted to ride a roller coaster on the beach.

anyways fun weekend. and hopefully next weekend will be just as exciting! its my 21st so its gotta be good right?

oh p.s. in the future i will be posting pictures with my posts. its just unfortunately, i was unable to take my camera on the trip for fear of it being lost down the river...
